About this Guide

DragonQuest is the library’s electronic catalog. It combines print and online material from the Tiffin University campus, OhioLINK libraries throughout the state, and various individual resource licenses. DragonQuest can be found in the library’s A to Z list of databases and in the “Find Library Resources” block located on the library’s web site. It’s important to note that DragonQuest does not include every resource license available through our university library. The Using the A to Z List of Databases section of this tutorial can help you access databases like Nexis Uni and the OhioLINK Electronic Journal Center (EJC), which may not be fully integrated into DragonQuest.

This guide will walk you through the many aspects of DragonQuest so that you can get the most from your library search experience.

The contents include the following:

  • Find Library Resources
Provides a description of the Find Library Resources box where DragonQuest is located, as well as sign-in instructions for off-campus access.

  • Basic Searching in DragonQuest
Provides an overview of the DragonQuest search results screen and features.

  • Advanced Searching in DragonQuest
Learn to refine searches using Boolean operators, locate journals by title, and adjust search results to locate scholarly (peer reviewed) materials.

  • Using Your My EBSCOhost Account
Create your own account within DragonQuest to save your source material for easier retrieval later or to share/collaborate with others on projects.

  • Extra Features
Adjust the DragonQuest layout, merge your sources onto your Google Drive, and explore the citation features available to you in this section of the tutorial.

  • Get Help
Provides support information, including access to live sessions on DragonQuest and other resources offered by the library.

Our web guides are designed to be brief. If you need more detail than what we've provided here, check out our Google Doc at the following link (NOTE: You should be signed into your TU email in your browser to access this file):

Attend a Live Session!

We understand that some users may feel more comfortable attending a live instructional session rather than reading through a tutorial. If that applies to you, please register for our Library Research webinar to have a live walk-thru of the information contained in this guide. If you register but cannot attend at the days/times offered, you'll receive a link to the recording of the session!
