Library Tutorials

The library contains hundreds of tutorials to guide you on specific types of research, writing assignments, or course topics. To search for a tutorial, type your search terms in the "Search about the Library" box, which appears on every page of our website, to get a full list of resources available.

Search about the library box with arrow

Tips for success:

  • Course guides may be available to support research assignments in your classes. Search for the course code (example: ENG142) to see if a page is available for your course.
  • For writing tutorials, try typing in the concept you're trying to find (examples: thesis statement, prewriting, outline, APA).
  • For resource tutorials, try typing in the name of a database (examples: Academic Writer, Nexis Uni, DragonQuest) or the type of resource you need (case study, newspaper).
  • Capitalization doesn't matter, but spelling does!

You can also use these shortcuts!
