How it Works

Bring your TU campus ID card to Pfeiffer Library and browse this leisure reading collection on Pfeiffer Library's main floor. When you find a book you'd like to borrow, take your ID card and the book to the library staff at the front desk for check out. When you are done with these books, just bring them back to Pfeiffer Library. On campus students, staff, and faculty can borrow these materials for 3 weeks!

How it Began

The staff at Pfeiffer Library is always looking for new ways to better serve our students and campus community! We were regularly hearing from on-campus students that they wanted more current fiction and other materials on hand for those moments when they found themselves with a little free time, but that waiting a couple days for materials to arrive from SearchOhio or leaving campus wasn't always convenient. We listened and are excited to begin our new cost-effective initiative with the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library!

In Fall 2017, the director of Pfeiffer Library approached staff from the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library to discuss how the two organizations could work together to address this expressed desire for non-academic resources. The public library offered to provide Pfeiffer Library staff with a small rotating collection of books and novels, which would allow TU students and staff to check out the public library's materials for free without leaving campus! Best of all, Pfeiffer Library will be able to maintain a fresh selection of leisure reading materials as the public library books will be swapped out regularly! So be sure to check back often as different titles will become available every few weeks.
