The Tiffin University Research Conference and Competition seeks to communicate, showcase, and reward the hard-earned accomplishments and hard-worked research of our Dragons both on campus and online. By providing space and time to share these contributions, we facilitate scholarship as conversation and research as inquiry.
Tiffin University is hosting its third annual research conference both in-person and virtually this year! It is open to all Tiffin University students, so all undergraduate and graduate students will have the opportunity to participate. The dates of the conference are as follows:
The in-person conference will feature a keynote speaker, where they share how they have applied research in their everyday jobs. At the conclusion of the conference, the research of our students is celebrated over dinner.
Those who will be presenting virtually will record their presentation using Blackboard Collaborate's web-conferencing tool. It gives online students the same opportunity to participate in research as on-campus students.
More information about this year's event can be found through the page's navigation menu.
The conference provides an opportunity for student researchers to share their work in multiple modalities, including poster and paper presentations.
The paper or slides presentation sessions provide an excellent opportunity for students to display their work orally, and with the assistance of visual aids. These sessions are typically grouped by research category. The types of presentations are as follows:
Due to scheduling, you may be presenting at the same time as other students.
The contest allows students to showcase their research with additional incentives. Awards and prizes will be announced as the conference date approaches.
