February 13, 2019

TIFFIN UNIVERSITY, Tiffin, OH— The State Library of Ohio awarded Tiffin University’s Pfeiffer Library a grant from the Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). The $1,220 grant will be used for collection development purposes.

TU’s library purchased 71 titles recognized by the Celebrating Ohio Book Awards & Authors (COBAA). “The addition of 71 creative works by Ohio authors to the library’s collection will enrich student experiences, enhance curriculum, and encourage the love of reading,” said Catie Carlson, Director of Pfeiffer Library. “The project supports the University’s purpose of transforming lives through education and the Guiding Principles ICARE core values.”

“IMLS is proud to support Tiffin University through our grant as they inform and inspire all in their community,” said IMLS Director Dr. Kathryn K. Matthew. “As centers of learning and catalysts of community change, libraries and museums connect people with programs, services, collections, information, and new ideas in the arts, sciences, and humanities. They serve as vital spaces where people can connect with each other.”
