Collaboration with the community has shaped the education and learning experience in the criminal justice program at Tiffin University. Above is Lori Nichols from the Ohio Health Department, who gave a guest lecture at Tiffin University in 1998. She spoke to the University to raise awareness of sex crimes along with a grant received from the Seneca County General Health District. She spoke on the conservative nature of sexual violence in Seneca County and the country Sexual Assult Community Coalition that both Tiffin and Hieldburg students were a part of. She spoke on this matter to help prevent sex crimes in the future with the criminal justice student. She also spoke on the ever-evolving problem of communication on the internet and how this plays into sex crimes. This was a unique opportunity for students to gain knowledge outside of the classroom and get involved with their community.
