To start off the winter and spring sports highlights for this month, there is a unique team that was a part of Tiffin University in the 1970s. Pictured above is the 1970 Ski Club team that included 20 people that ventured to different parks in Ohio and Michigan. This is not a sport usually seen in Ohio colleges but was the most popular at Tiffin University in the 1970s. Today, most teams that compete in skiing are found in mountainous regions of the United States such as Utah or Maine but this club was a large part of the winter history of Tiffin University and the culture found on campus.
