Homecoming weekend has always been important to the Tiffin University community. This is a time for students and alumni to come together and connect. In 1962, homecoming weekend also held a smorgasbord and dance for the alumni hosted and put on by the freshmen. Many alumni came back to celebrate and the homecoming king and queen of 1962 came and celebrated with the alumni. The event was called “Evening in Paris” and consisted of a 26-foot replica of the Eiffel Tower in the center of the dance floor covered in flowers. It was even large enough for people to dance under. It also featured a stage and band for the evening's festivities.
