The Collection

Among the hundreds of materials in the university's archive, you will find:

  • Artifacts - non-photographic and non-print materials, including but not limited to:
    • China dishes once used to instruct Tiffin University students about table etiquette in the job interview process
    • Flags and banners from prior campus events
    • Greek Life memorabilia
  • Building and architectural renderings which document the evolution of the university's campus
  • Yearbooks and other student-related publications
  • Class photos
  • Photographs from events, graduations, and more!
  • Sports photographs and memorabilia
  • Print publications and reports related to university operations
  • Items on CD and VHS, including recordings of past graduation ceremonies

Oldest: 1878 - New Bryant and Stratton's Common School bookkeeping (signed by Edward H. Miller)

Newest: We are still curating! The library clips current newspaper articles to preserve in the archive, and at minimum programs are collected from convocation and graduation each year.

Curating a Collection in a Digital World
