Tutorial on locating magazine resources throughout the library's collection.

Magazine Holdings

Pfeiffer Library has a combination of print and online magazines available to students.  You can search our online library catalog for current holdings or visit the library to view our print collections!

Searching in Pfeiffer Library Catalog

To search Pfeiffer Library Catalog (OPAL) for magazine articles:

  1. Visit the Pfeiffer Library Catalog home page.
  2. Select the dropdown arrow "Limit your search"
  3. Under "Location," select Tiffin.  This will search for items that are held only in Pfeiffer Library.
  4. In the center of the search page, click on the dropdown menu "Material Type" and select "PERIODICALS/SERIAL."  This will limit your search to periodicals (magazines and journals) only.

        5. View the search results and select the periodical you are interested in viewing.  If it is an online periodical, there will be an option below the item's profile called "View Online."  If you click on the link, it will take you to a digital version of the item or the publication's website.

        6. If the item is in print at our library, record the item information (title, year) and locate the item in our shelves.  Magazines are located on the main floor of the building in the middle, labeled "Magazines and Journals."
