Locating Magazines

Tutorial on locating magazine resources throughout the library's collection.

Using DragonQuest to Locate Magazines

To limit your search results to magazine publications only, you must first conduct a search in DragonQuest or in one of the databases on our A-Z list.  You can do this by using the search bar on the Pfeiffer Library home page, or by accessing the database directly.

Using Refine Results

Once you conduct a primary search in DragonQuest, you can narrow your search results to a specific publication.

Locate the Source Types checkbox labeled "Magazines" in the Refine Results panel on the left side of the search results page.  This will only display magazines in your search results.  Some items will available electronically, while others can be requested through OhioLINK.  Oftentimes the print items are "library use only" so you may be limited to print magazines in our library.

You can also locate magazines (or any other specific publication) using the Journal Finder at the following link:

*Librarian Tip: Some resources may have a publication delay, called an embargo, for a set period of time determined by the publisher.
