Creating a Very Short Introductions Personal Profile is an optional feature which allows greater interaction with the ebook content of Very Short Introductions by allowing highlighting / note taking within the text of these ebooks, and supports the saving of user history and reading lists.
Once on the Very Short Introductions landing page, in the upper right-hand corner users have the option to Sign in or Create a personal profile.
After clicking the "Create," users are asked to enter their name and @tiffin.edu email address, and users will need to create a password. Users will also be required to accept the terms of the Very Short Introductions Privacy Policy before their Personal Profile can be created.
Once the Personal Profile has been created: your name, and options for "My Work" and "Sign Out" appear in the upper right-hand corner where the sign in and create options had been before.
Clicking "My Work" takes users to their personal account's tabbed dashboard. From the tabbed dashboard, they can explore their past searches under the "Most Recent" and/or "My Searches" tabs, create/edit/review/cite titles or chapters within their saved reading lists under "My Content", and quickly access their saved notes/highlights under the "My Annotations" tab. The "My Account" tab allows users to edit their name, email address, preferred language, and to change their password.
