Testing Services at Tiffin University offers a convenient, fast, and secure online registration for makeup exams and accommodation-based testing. The student and faculty request forms must be completed before any exam is scheduled. This helps us to ensure adequate space, time, and resources for you to be successful with your exam. To make this process easier, please review the policy below:
- All exams and quizzes must be scheduled at least two business days (48 hours) before the exam date. This does not include weekends or holidays.
- The course instructor must approve all requests before your test will be scheduled. (Testing Services will contact the instructor to ensure the exam or quiz is authorized. Confirmation will be sent only when approved.)
- By using the Testing Services, you, as the student, agree to abide by all terms, policies, and procedures as outlined below:
- When arriving for an appointment, you must present a valid student ID or government-issued photo ID to take your exam or quiz.
- You understand that only the materials permitted by the instructor are allowed for the exam. Using unauthorized materials will result in a referral to the instructor for academic integrity and the Dean of Students for student misconduct.
- Electronic devices are not permitted in the exam room unless authorized by the instructor. You agree to remove your cell phone, smartwatch, or any other device on your person that the instructor does not permit. Secured lockers are provided.
- You agree to be monitored by testing personnel directly or electronically during the testing period. Cameras are present in all testing rooms, and footage is recorded.
- For accommodations-based testing, all accommodations must be approved by the Office for Disability Services and will be verified before scheduling. Please note that students with accommodations must also comply with the policies of that office.
- Pfeiffer Library is not responsible for scheduling exams or quizzes that the instructor has not verified
- Pfeiffer Library is not responsible for providing accommodations not authorized by the Disability Services Office.
Testing Services are available Monday through Friday during the Fall and Spring semesters, excluding holidays and university closures. During peak times (e.g. midterms, finals, etc...), availability may be limited and require additional notice. While every effort is made to accommodate testers, scheduling is always subject to staffing and capacity constraints.
Students with previous incidents of academic integrity violations on file with the Testing Center may be declined from future tests in our facility. In those cases, tests must be scheduled with the instructor or their designee for proctoring.
