Resource outages, changes in hours and more! Updates to all things library can be found via our blog.
Pfeiffer Library hopes to connect you to quality resources and services that address your information needs of research, learning, and professional practice. Throughout your time at Tiffin University, we can help you brainstorm research projects, assist in discovering and locating information, and help with those tricky citation styles like APA.
You may hear a lot of instructors talk about OhioLINK. OhioLINK is a network of most of the academic libraries in the state of the library. We share our print resources and we cooperatively purchase and preserve electronic materials.
It's great for borrowing books, because you have a 3-week borrow period with the potential to renew the materials up to 6 times (or the whole semester). To borrow materials, you need to know your library barcode, which is your student ID number followed by TUP (Example: 000123456TUP).
If you ever hear that you must use OhioLINK while at Tiffin University, it likely means that you need to utilize the high-quality resources the library carries - whether that's print or electronic.
DragonQuest is an easy way to access information. DragonQuest allows you to search most of the library's resources at once - including most of the resources we benefit from as OhioLINK members. You can think of DragonQuest as your Google Search of Pfeiffer Library. Some of the materials in it may not be available right away, but it can help you discover the resource.
The library shares a building with the Murphy Academic Support Center. It's the perfect place to get help with research and writing. You can also complete study table hours in the library. Today we are open the following hours:
We also have study rooms available for group study available during our hours of operation. These rooms can be reserved 24 hours in advance or are first-come, first-served. If there is no sign on a room and nobody is there, feel free to utilize the space (but please remember they are not sound proof). However, feel free to save yourself a spot as well!
Research consultations are a great way to get to know your librarian who can assist you with research topics, keywords, resources, and citations. Making an appointment with your librarian ensures they'll be available and prepared to help you with your research needs. Schedule today!
