Tech Tip: Concentrating While Studying

by Brigitte Galauner on 2021-02-23T10:00:00-05:00 in Tech Tips | 0 Comments

Do you struggle to focus on studying for your exams?  Do you get easily distracted by your surroundings when working on homework?  Studies have shown that certain types of music can improve your concentration.  If you are studying for exams or working on a paper this week, try listening to relaxing music in the background of your work environment.  It can help block out distractions and put you in a relaxed state of mind.  There are several outlets to find "study music" like Apple Music and other music streaming services, but there are also several YouTube channels that have study music.  Here are some YouTube channels that have several videos with study music:

ChilledCow

GreenredProductions

QuietQuestStudyMusic

relaxdaily

YellowBrickCinema

You can also listen to music from OhioLINK's Music Center, which has selections of classical, contemporary, Chinese, and spoken word music.

It is easy to keep music on in the background as you study with your internet browser.  As always, you can contact the library with any research questions at library@tiffin.edu.  Happy studying!
