Academic Writer: APA's tool for teaching and learning effective writing

As a user of our institutional subscription to APA Style CENTRAL, we are passing along an important update that APA Style CENTRAL’s name will be changing to Academic Writer as of January 2019.

In addition to the new name, Academic Writer will focus on three centers for teaching and learning effective writing—the Learning Center, the Reference Center (formerly known as the Research Center), and the Writing Center. The Publishing Center, dictionaries, and electronic reference books covering quantitative and qualitative research methods will be removed.

Don’t worry, there have been no changes to the accounts or papers created within the platform. The library will be updating its assets to reflect this change, and your LMS team will be changing standard links incorporated into courses. Any pre-existing links that are missed though will redirect from APA Style Central to Academic Writer.

If you would like assistance integrating or adopting Academic Writer as a resource within your course, or if you have any questions about transitioning from APA Style CENTRAL to Academic Writer within your course, you may contact the library at library@tiffin.edu.
