What's New at Pfeiffer Library?

Tech Tip Tuesday: Start Strong with the Library!

Welcome to our first Tech Tip Tuesday post of the 2017-18 school year!

Back-to-school basics often include pens, pencils, notebooks, textbooks, calculators, rulers, backpacks, etc. , but there are also usernames and passwords that you'll need to know in order to access the numerous electronic resources and services at your disposal as a Tiffin University student. If you don't have your library barcode number yet, we can help!

Why do I need a barcode?

In order to access our library resources off-campus, all students are required to sign in using a unique sequence of numbers and letters. This tells our vendors that you are legally signing in to use the resource because you are affiliated with Tiffin University. If you don't have a barcode, you cannot access any of our electronic collection off-site OR order books (for Ohio residents).

What does my barcode look like?

Your barcode is a combination of your student ID number followed by the letters TUP. For example, if your student ID is 000123456 your barcode number will be 000123456TUP. This is your unique barcode number- do not share it with anyone else!

If you're unsure of your barcode number, you can contact us via email at library@tiffin.edu for assistance. Barcodes are usually sent to all new students at their Tiffin University email address within the first week of classes, so it's a good idea to also check your spam folder in case this information filters there by mistake.

You can read more about barcodes on our Get Help page at the following link: http://library.tiffin.edu/help/barcodes
